My name is Elias, welcome to my low-tech 2000s era website.
I am a poet and visual artist. My mediums of choice are written text, artist books, lino-cuts, printing and paper craft, and miniature sculptures/design. In terms of academic interest in poetry, the periods in which I am most interested are English Enlightenment, Enlgish Romanticism, French Symbolism, and Russian Modernism.
I am a recent alumnus of Columbia University's MFA writing program with a concentration in poetry. At Columbia, I served as Print Poetry Editor for Columbia Journal Issue 59 and as an undergraduate teaching instructor for the creative writing program. Previously, I attended Cornell University where I doubled majored in Entomology and Ecology, with additional coursework in English Literature and Indigenous Studies.
In my free time I enjoy stragetic board games, early Japanese animation, mathematics, study of internet culture, listening to music, and chronically overthinking.
Please feel free to message me at the email provided on the Bio page if you would like to reaech out with reagards to artistic collaboration, socializitaion, or anything else. Thanks for stopping by!
